Research Methodology
A nationwide network of reporting stores (retailers) complete a monthly questionnaire that asks them to rank their top-selling items in each of the 50 product categories.
POINT VALUES
Items ranked first are assigned five points; items ranked second are given three points; those ranked third are given one point.
Point values are totaled and ranked in descending order to come up with the top-selling items.
REPORTING STORES
Reporting stores include card, gift, boutique, specialty and home decor stores across every region of the country.
In addition, none of the retailers who participate are affiliated with any vendor.
